Account Deletion

Last updated: 29 October 2026

Draft. This text is awaiting review by our lawyer and is not yet in effect. Feel free to write to us with questions.

This page explains how to delete your account and data in the Kepyil app (developer: [company name]), and what is deleted and what is kept.

Delete in the app

  1. Open the Kepyil app (or app.mezuniyetyilligi.com) and sign in.
  2. Tap the Me tab at the bottom.
  3. Tap Delete my account and confirm in the window that opens.

Your account closes at once. Your data is permanently deleted after 30 days.

Delete without the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, send an e-mail with the subject "Account deletion" to [email protected]. Include your registered phone number or e-mail address and the name of your school or yearbook. We will contact that number or address to confirm the account is yours; once confirmed, your account is closed just as if you had deleted it in the app.

Your child’s account

Parents can ask for their under-18 child’s account or data to be deleted, and can withdraw the consent they gave. To do so, write to [email protected] with the child’s name, school and class. For yearbooks run by a school you can also apply to the school. If you use the app on behalf of a child under 13, you can delete the child’s page in the app with the same steps.

What is deleted

As soon as your account closes, it can no longer sign in and your page no longer appears in the app. After 30 days the following are permanently deleted:

  • Your name, phone number, e-mail address and other profile details.
  • Your portrait, your profile answers, your page and the messages written on it.
  • Messages you wrote to friends: they are removed from their pages too.
  • Photos you added to the memory wall, your voice and video memories and your time capsule letter.
  • Your push tokens and notification preferences.

What is kept

  • A finalized or printed yearbook: the pages in the book’s final version stay in the book. Printed copies cannot be recalled.
  • An anonymous member record: so that the yearbook’s numbers (for example, seats paid for) stay consistent, a record with your name and contact details removed is kept. It can no longer be linked to you.
  • Purchase records: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Consent and security records: kept for as long as legal obligations and possible disputes require.
  • Backups: copies in backups are deleted in the normal backup cycle, within [number of] days at the latest.

Deleting data without deleting the account

  • You can change or remove your profile photo from the profile screen in the app.
  • You can ask your teacher, or write to [email protected], to have a particular message, photo or recording deleted.
  • You can get a copy of your data with Me → Download my data.

For all your rights over your data, see the Privacy Policy.
